A Poll shows the Electronic cigarette a Popular Choice among Quitters

A poll conducted by R. Malcolm from the Royal London Hospital, shows that those who are trying to quit smoking prefer the Electronic cigarette as their stop smoking aid. More than half of the smokers polled chose the Electronic cigarette as the device or method that was most helpful to them while trying to kick the habit. Each of the participants in the study sampled four different quitting methods and more than half of them found the Electronic cigarette to be the ideal product among the ones tested to help them quit.
While the Electronic cigarette is not touted as a stop smoking aid in other parts of the world, it is the preference of those who use stop smoking aids who selected the device. It is the smokers who must use the various products on the market and their opinion is the only one that should count. As more people try to kick the habit or find a healthier way to smoke, the Electronic cigarette deserves a place among the other widely accepted products.
The Electronic cigarette offers smokers a chance to substitute their traditional cigarettes with a device that mimics the act of smoking while delivering nicotine to the system to stem nicotine cravings. Cravings are one of the problems that can derail a smoker?s effort to give up traditional tobacco products.
The device also helps smokers work through the psychological hold that smoking has on them. Smoking while doing a certain activity can be one of the hardest habits to break for an active smoker. Those habits have become a daily part of a smoker?s life that long after the nicotine cravings have passed, the psychological need remains intact. Driving, drinking coffee, after dinner or socializing in a club are some of the places and activities that encourage smokers to keep on smoking.
