Picture courtesy of Matt From London A poll conducted by R. Malcolm from the Royal London Hospital, shows that those who are trying to quit smoking prefer the Electronic cigarette as their stop smoking aid. More than half of the smokers polled chose the Electronic cigarette as the device or method that was most helpful to them while trying to kick the habit. Each of the participants in the study sampled four different quitting methods and more than half of them found the Electronic cigarette to be the ideal product among the ones tested to help them quit. While the Electronic cigarette is not touted as a stop smoking aid in other parts of the world, it is the preference of those who use stop smoking aids who selected the device. It is the smokers who must use the various products on the market and their opinion is the only one that should count. As more people try to kick the habit or find a healthier way to s...

eCigarettes Help Smokers Cope with Bans

Source: E Cigarette News (www.feedmap.net)

eCigarettes have helped a number of people cope with the bans on smoking in office buildings, bars and restaurants. When the weather outside gets chilly, more people look for ways to avoid standing out in the cold. The e-cigarette helps a number of people remain inside and still satisfy their nicotine cravings. The ability to smoke inside has also helped some people cope with their self imposed smoking bans inside the house. Most people decide to relegate smoking regular tobacco cigarettes outside because of the smell of cigarette smoke that is left behind. Cigarette smoke lingers in curtains, furniture and carpets causing an entire house to smell like smoke. The e-cigarette does not produce the same smoke and only simulates smoke with a water vapour. For smokers who want to keep the smell of tobacco out of the house, the e-cigarette is the answer. Currently, there is controversy surrounding the smoking device. Some adv...

A recent study that was paid for by an e-cigarette retailer has been analysed by scientists working for Tobaccoharmreduction.org concluded that the product can help smokers replace their tobacco cigarettes with an e-cigarette successfully and limit their intake of harmful tobacco smoke. The study conducted by the retailer is likely to have been filled with fans of the product, but this shows that those who are committed to using a replacement product such as the e-cigarette can successfully give up smoking tobacco cigarettes. There is a vast difference among this product and other nicotine replacement systems in the minds of consumers. The e-cigarette tackles the psychological aspect of smoking in a way that nicotine replacement products of the past cannot. The taste of the product was pleasing to consumers and many were able to replace their cigarette consumption with the electronic device. The studies that have b...

Anti Smoking Book Giving Away E-Cigarettes with Every Purchase

Source: E Cigarette News (www.feedmap.net)

The e-cigarette has impressed one anti smoking book author so much that he plans to give away a starter kit with each purchase of his book. The e-cigarette helps smokers break the psychological hold that cigarettes have over them. Nicotine replacement products provide the body with the nicotine that it is craving, but they do not deal with the psychological implications of smoking. Holding the cigarette in the hand, the physical act of smoking, and all of the social situations that cause smokers to fall off the wagon are not addressed with patches, gum and mints. The e-cigarette has faced criticism from some anti smoking advocates who claim that the e-cigarette encourages the behaviour that leads to smoking. For those who approve of the device, it is a tool that smoker?s can use to finally overcome an addiction to cigarettes that other products have failed to do. The device has spurred quite a controversy a...

Recent legislation that is set to ban the use of all nicotine products including the Electronic Cigarette as well as smoke free nicotine products in public places is meeting with some resistance. The proponents of the Electronic Cigarette believe that including the smoking device in the legislation will cause more harm than good. The Electronic Cigarette is a device that smokers can use to help with the transition from smoking cigarettes to leading a smoke free life. The device has helped countless smokers give up their lethal cigarettes in favour of the electronic cigarette. When the use of these products is limited, it takes away one more tool in the arsenal for smokers to finally kick the habit. Anti smoking legislation is put in place to protect non smoker from the harmful effects of second hand smoke. Banning the Electronic Cigarette does not follow logically with this ideal. The smoke that comes from an El...

Support is growing for the Electronic Cigarette as more health officials and anti smoking advocates are getting on board with the device. Electronic Cigarettes help smokers get the nicotine that their body requires without the harmful effects of smoking. The electronic devices are designed to provide nicotine, tobacco flavour and the psychological effect of smoking while helping the smoker wean themselves off cigarettes. Sales are growing at a rate of 300% per month in the U.S. while other parts of the world are following close behind. A study in South Africa noted that as many as 45% of smokers are successful with quitting when they use the device. South Africa, like the UK has not restricted the use of this product and it is paying off with more customers feeling better and successfully getting off the Electronic Cigarettes. Some anti-smoking advocates oppose the device because it encourages the same be...

Will a United States FDA Decision on E Cigarettes open a Can of Worms?

Source: E Cigarette News (www.feedmap.net)

24/11/2009
The E Cigarette community in the United States is awash with rumours that a decision on the future fate of E Cigarette sales and usage in the country is near, and general consensus seems to be that all relevant paperwork in the case presented by the FDA is ready and that a federal judge has made a final decision ? a decision that will be announced imminently. If a potential ban on the devices does come into effect, an issue relating to black market sales may come to the forefront, and this may be a problem that the FDA has not taken into consideration before looking for a ban to be put in place. One of the problems is that the FDA in the States just does not have the manpower available to check each and every shipment that arrives from China (one of the leading E Cigarette manufacturers), and as such getting the devices into the country will be simple enough. As well as this, users should be able to easily buy their de...

Even Celebs Endorse E Cigarettes

Source: E Cigarette News (www.feedmap.net)

With the recent favourable review of E Cigarettes by the Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) in the United Kingdom, more health specialists around the world are endorsing the device as a viable and less damaging alternative to real tobacco products. But the topic in general is proving to be rather puzzling to smokers as well as non due to the amount of propaganda anti-smoking groups are releasing into the public domain. Nicotine is addictive, but so is caffeine and almost ninety percent of the population in the western world takes some form of caffeine each day. Nevertheless, these anti-smoking groups are being rather hypocritical when they voice their opinions that E Cigarettes should be outlawed and therefore taken out of the public domain, but would themselves never consider giving up their daily dose of ?addictive? caffeine! The E Cigarette is slowly but surely finding its place amongst those who want something le...

Image courtesy of wikipedia commons With the debate raging across the pond over E Cigarettes and their usage, the Electronic Cigarettes Association (ECA) in America has come out and requested, via its president Matt Salmon, that all those individuals and entities involved in the situation that they should discuss and research the devices in an honest way, something which has not been the case up until now. He also urges all involved to take a look at the bigger picture, and that is that over one million Americans adult smokers who are using E Cigarettes are looking at an alternative to ?real? tobacco products and their multitude of harmful, toxic chemicals. The focus in recent months on E Cigarettes has intensified greatly, so much so that there was not only a front page news story covered on USA Today (which we mentioned last week) but also a follow-up editorial during this week in the same publication. Other n...

Under no circumstances should nicotine gum be chewed like ordinary gum, as too much nicotine will be released into your bloodstream at once, you will probably feel sick. Although you’re probably better staying away from nicotine gum anyway and it never seems to work. Maybe an Electric cigarette is the answer. ...
